Chief Operating Officer
Pekka is the Chief Operating Officer of Kyyti where he sets the company goals and aligns them across Kyyti.
Pekka’s background spans over 20 years of global managerial experience in the corporate world. During his 14-year tenure at Nokia, Pekka served as Senior Manager in Strategy Development among various other roles. He has also worked in strategy management roles for Microsoft and KONE. Pekka’s expertise lies in ecosystem building and partnership development with developers, go-to-market players, and expert researchers.
Pekka sees the MaaS phenomenon spreading globally and believes that the multimodal system is the only possible way to solve the current challenges related to transportation and that solely using private cars simply won’t serve us in the future.
Chief Executive Officer
Having been involved with transportation his whole life, Pekka is a true innovator in the area of mobility and transit.
He is perhaps best known for founding his previous company OnniBus.com, which launched Pekka to the forefront of the transportation world after thoroughly shaking up the Finnish intercity bus and train networks.
Today, Pekka has his eyes set on multimodality and changing the way transport is organized - especially outside of the big city centers.
For him, mass transport needs to fit the masses - but right now it doesn’t. Kyyti will give actual possibilities in an economically viable way to organize transit in rural places where public transportation has been lost.
He believes that the usability of all kinds of transportation will enable people to sustainably travel more than they could before, and have a huge impact on people’s everyday lives.
Chief Experience Officer
Johanna has over 15 years of sustainable mobility development and workplace mobility management experience.
Prior to founding Tuup (now a subsidiary of Kyyti) in 2015, Johanna researched mobility for years and worked with various companies including Nordea, OP, and the City of Helsinki to solve their mobility-related challenges.
During that time, Johanna realized there was a brand new marketplace for integrated MaaS services - public transport tickets, payments, parking, etc., and went on to found Tuup with the help of Jouni Lounasmaa and Paavo Moilanen. Tuup soon developed into Kyyti and moved towards integrating on-demand services into fixed public transport routes and solving the first/last mile problem.
Today, Johanna ensures that all customers and end users have an exemplary experience using Kyyti’s services in order to compel people to reduce the need to own and use private cars, while also developing cooperation with transport operators to improve sustainability and efficiency.
Johanna always been interested in developing the transport system to optimize everyday travel for people and solve their travel challenges.

In 2015, Paavo was a founding partner of Tuup (now a subsidiary of Kyyti) with Johanna Taskinen. Today, Paavo is putting his experience into practice by leading as the company’s CTO and handling the technical development on the company.
For Paavo, Kyyti will make the everyday traveling of individuals easy, optimally develop existing and new means of transport, and also assist society in maintaining future transport systems to enhance general welfare for everyone.

At Kyyti, Osma works as the Chief Product Officer where he heads up the company’s vision for product development, product strategy, and product design.

Chief Financial Officer
Prior to Kyyti, Jouni’s background has always been startup focused. Graduating from Aalto University in Helsinki, he began his career working in the electronics industry before then moving into Technopolis Ventures - the largest business incubator in Finland as an advisor for 5 years.
Having seen what it takes to make a successful business through his consultancy work combined with his in-depth knowledge of the Finnish innovation system, Jouni met Kyyti founder Johanna Taskinen and explored the possibility of starting a MaaS business which was lacking at the time. He would then go on to become a founding partner of Kyyti - or what was then known as Tuup (now a Kyyti subsidiary).
As well as ensuring the company’s finances are in order, Jouni also handles HR and resourcing to make sure the team is firing on all cylinders.
He believes that MaaS is going to grow exponentially, and that Kyyti’s innovative tools will support and foster the growth of the transportation value chain by combining different mobility modes into one A-B trip.
Eric works as a Senior Researcher at Kyyti and is an expert in public transportation and logistics systems analysis.
Eric is well known in the transportation industry and has a long history working in academia and engineering. He has an extensive list of publications and references which he has written, including two textbooks and was a columnist for 10 years at Urban Transport International, a trade magazine published in Paris.
Prior to Kyyti, Eric has taught different transportation industry-related courses at Aalto University in Finland and at the University of Pennsylvania in the U.S to just name a couple.
At Kyyti, Eric works closely with industry partners and institutions to help them implement MaaS services into their current systems by aligning their needs to Kyyti's innovative offering. By working at Kyyti, Eric is able to remain on the cutting-edge of the industry without the need for research grants or teaching, meaning his research directly benefits Kyyti's customers and partners first.
In addition to helping reduce car ownership so that parking houses can be recycled into other uses, Eric believes that MaaS will develop to the point so that wherever you go, there’s a real-time transit option able to take you there.
